Specification Alignment
The buyer's required parameters, units, tolerances, and test methods should be compared with the proposed supply before contract. A familiar parameter name may produce different results under different methods.
Quality Assurance
Inspection begins with an agreed scope.
Testing and inspection are transaction-specific. The product standard, test methods, sampling point, acceptance criteria, independent company, timing, and cost allocation should be settled in writing.
Sampling and Testing
The agreement should identify where and when samples are taken, who witnesses the process, how samples are sealed, which laboratory performs testing, and how retained samples or disputed results are handled.
Quantity Verification
Quantity may be verified through weighbridge records, draft survey, tank measurement, counting, or other suitable methods depending on cargo form and transport mode.
Packing and Marking
Inspection may also cover drum condition, bag integrity, palletization, markings, container loading, sealing, and visual conformity with the agreed packing instructions.
Independent Inspection
A mutually accepted independent inspection company may be appointed where commercially justified. Its certificate does not replace the parties' contractual definition of quality, quantity, risk, or claims.
Document Integrity
